We recommend that you try many different streams when watching your content on your CordCutter Media Box. Also, please try watching the same titles in different add-ons as they pull their streams from different sources.

How do I check the speed of my Internet connection?

The speed and reliability of your Internet connection plays a huge role in your ability to enjoy your favorite content on your CordCutter Media Box. To check your Internet connection speed please use the following instructions:

  1. Click the green “My Apps” tab on the CordCutter home screen.
  2. Click on the “Speed Test” app.
  3. Click “Begin Test” on the screen and let the test run to see what speeds you currently have.

If you are getting less than the speeds recommended in the above chart there are some options you can try to help increase the speed.

  1. Move your Wifi router closer to your CordCutter box.
  2. Reset your Internet Modem by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
  3. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you are not getting the speed for which you are paying.

Is this illegal?

No, it is not illegal because there is no downloading involved. When you copy or download content that is considered piracy. All the CordCutter box does is simply stream what is already on the web.

Why is this device more expensive than what’s online?

Those devices are not programmed and to our company they are just a piece of hardware. We take that hardware and customize it to be user friendly and easy to navigate. Otherwise a person would have to program and customize their own device, which for most people would be a real headache. Also, with that there is no customer service, tech support, or warranties. We give lifetime customer service and complimentary programming upgrades.

Does is get ______ channel?

The CordCutter box will pick up a ton of live tv and live sports, but you may not get some local channels. Most people either use an antenna or just keep their lowest cable package available and use our device for all their premium channels. You can also use the box to access the internet so you can stream local news stations (for example) that way.

Can you record?

There is no need to record, everything is always on demand.

How many tv’s does it work on?

Only one per TV, but most people start off with 2 or 3 boxes and after they see that they can save a ton of money they’ll get one for each TV in there house.
